Do you find it hard to forgive?

Do you know where it all lies? It all lies in your mind, yes the physical mind. That is the reason it is hard to forgive.

Go back to the most recent feeling that you have where you had some argument with someone and are now moving about with that person and that conversation stuck in your head like something stuck in your tooth. The feeling which is continuously making its presence felt in the background!

What would you do if it were something really stuck in your tooth? Use floss to get rid of it, isn’t it? Then why keep the argument or conversation or person in your mind like a constant botheration? Let go!

LET GO! Is one piece of advice which is easier said than done, isn’t it? So let’s see what are the few easy ways in which you can actually ‘Let Go!’

Some important ‘rules’ for forgiving:

  • You forgive the person or situation involved

  • You never ever forget what happened, what you learnt

  • So it is Forgive but never Forget.

  • you do not need to go and say anything to anyone

Exercise:

One a piece of paper note down the names of people/ situations which have caused Hurt, Guilt, Anger, un-forgiveness, you hate, who made you feel cheated or duped you, etc.

Do not forget to mention your OWN name somewhere in the list. You must have felt guilty for something sometime, or you may be angry for self actions, or wrong decisions, etc.

Take your time and note all that come to your mind. Note the name & the issue causing this emotion towards them.

An example could be: Mr XYZ for punishing me for no fault of mine.

This exercise may require sometime if you have never done a forgiving exercise before! So do not push yourself and hurry up!

Once you are done, start reading what you have written.

After each name you read say,

I FORGIVE YOU NOW! I FREE YOU NOW! I CUT ALL UNWANTED CORDS BETWEEN YOU & ME NOW!

[Cutting unwanted cords would only enhance your bond with the other person as you remove all that is not required anymore]

Do this for every name you have penned down, even if it is yourself.

Once you are done with all, burn this paper and say, I RELEASE ALL UNWANTED EMOTIONS, THOUGHTS & IDEAS NOW!

Try it.. Release all unwanted.. Lead a FREE Life.. Feel as light as a feather..
